Anurag Thakur said “If we look at the contribution of mainly Telugu actors in the film industry, they have taken the films and Indian cinema on the global map, some people are trying to bring them on the floor. Actors have contributed a lot in the film industry. I feel that instead of creating any controversy, efforts should be made for dialogue, security should be taken care of and politics should not be done.”
Akbaruddin Owaisi’s allegation
AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, while targeting Allu Arjun in the Assembly, had said that despite the stampede, the actor was smiling and did not take the situation seriously. He also alleged that Allu Arjun ignored safety standards, which led to the accident. At the same time, Allu Arjun rejected these allegations in the press conference and said that he was not aware of the stampede that took place in the theater and as soon as he came to know, he immediately took steps to help.
CM Revanth Reddy’s comment
Telangana CM Revanth Reddy had criticized Allu Arjun for attending the screening of Pushpa-2 despite the police’s refusal. He said, “Actor Allu Arjun attended the screening of ‘Pushpa-2’ on December 4 without police permission, during which a stampede broke out and a woman died. Even after the death of the woman, Allu Arjun stayed out of the cinema hall. They did not come out. The police had to force them out.
The accident happened during Pushpa 2 premiere.
